IPL (intense pulse light) is the most advanced form of light-based beauty therapies, which began with laser treatments more than a decade ago. 

 

This system is highly effective, but is not suitable for everyone.  It works best when the hair is darker than the skin, so if you have very fair hair or dark skin you will not be able to receive the benefits of this particular treatment.

 

The intense pluse of light will be absorbed by the skin and hair shaft, destroying the follicles so they don't grow back.  As hair grows in cycles, treatments are repeated for 6 - 12 weeks (1 treatment per week) to achieve the desired result.
